Contact to a CT Department of Veterans Affairs (CT DVA) Veteran Service Officer (VSO) to file a claim of service connected disability, apply for VA pension Aid & Attendance for homebound vets or surviving spouse, or VA DIC compensation.

Sherri Vogt, Hartford HealthCare Center for Healthy Aging, Veterans Liaison, is an Army veteran with over a decade of service assisting veterans and family members to identify and connect to VA benefits.

Resource Coordinators can help support veterans

A Resource Coordinator from the Center for Healthy Aging can:

  • Perform comprehensive assessments and consultations in the community, home, or office to determine a Veteran’s resource needs
  • Provide education and information regarding the various programs and services that Veterans are eligible for
  • Refer and connect Veterans to the appropriate contacts, services, and programs best suited to their needs.
