Hartford HealthCare Seeks Applicants for Grant-Funded Certified Nursing Assistant Program

Hartford HealthCare Senior Services is accepting applications for a grant-funded five-week program for those seeking a career as a certified nursing assistant (CNA).

This free program will consist of classroom education held on zoom, labs in Southington and clinical training in Newington and Southington. Tuition, books, scrubs and the Connecticut Certified Nurse’s Aide Exam are included.

Applicants must have their high school diploma and a means of transportation. Acceptance will be contingent upon a background check, fingerprinting, interview, physical and reference check.

Grant funding is provided by Jefferson House in Newington, which offers short-term/outpatient rehabilitation, skilled nursing and palliative care, where some clinical training may take place.
